It is your first official night at college. You have made some new friends in your dorm, and you are all hanging out together in your room. One girl suddenly suggests that you should all go to a frat party tonight. You have never drank before or been to any kind of party, but you are intrigued. Do you:
A) [[Go with your friends to the party]]
B) [[Decide that you're not comfortable and stay in]]
Yay, you're going to your first college party! All of your new friends start getting ready together. Suddenly, your roommate pulls out a handle of vodka from under her bed. She asks if you want a shot. This makes you nervous at first, because you've never drank alcohol before. Do you:
A) [[Decide to drink]]
B) [[Say thanks but no thanks]] Most of your floormates have left for this party, and you are suddenly alone in your room not sure what to do with the rest of the night.
You hear faint laughter coming from the other end of the hallway, and a TV playing in the background. Do you:
A) [[Follow the sound and see what's going on]]
B) [[Ignore it and just go to bed]]<<audio collegeparty play>>
It's finally time to head out to the party. It's about a 10 minute walk from your dorm, but you feel okay because you're with a group of people. When you arrive at the house, you are greeted at the door by a fraternity brother. He's holding a red solo cup in his hand and asks you if you plan on drinking jungle juice. You've never tried it, but you've heard some sketchy things about jungle juice. Most of your friends take a cup. You decide to:
A) [[Take a cup and head to the bar for jungle juice]]
B) [[Say no and see if the bar has any unopened beer cans]]<<audio collegeparty play>>
When you get to the party, you are immediately a little uncomfortable. The party is super crowded, you hardly no anyone there, and you seem like you're the only sober person in the room. You decide to:
A) [[Leave and head home to your dorm]]
B) [[Stay and stick it out]]You get your cup of jungle juice, but suddenly you realize that you have to use the bathroom. Before you head to the bathroom, you:
A) [[Put your cup down in the corner of the room so you don't have to bring it to the bathroom with you]]
B) [[Bring it with you to the bathroom]]You're in luck, the bar has beer! You don't love the taste of it, but it'll do for now.
You decide to start dancing with your friends when all of a sudden two frat boys come up to you and your roommate. They ask if you both will be their beer pong partners. You've never played, but these boys are really cute and it sounds like fun. Do you:
A) [[Play pong]]
B) [[Say you're not interested]] You finish playing pong, and you start to notice that you are drunker than you wanted to be. It looked like your pong partners were filling up your cups a little too much.
After the game is over, your pong partner asks if he can get you another beer. Do you:
A) [[Keep drinking]]
B) [[Take it easy and say no thanks]] You and your friends continue to dance the night away! You have a few beers, but you stop yourself as soon as you start to feel a little too tipsy. By the end of the night, you still have a good buzz, but you feel comfortable because you didn't push your [[limits]]. You have had entirely too much to drink. The room is getting kind of fuzzy, and you can't see your partner clearly. You suddenly feel a churning sensation in your stomach. You have to find a [[bathroom]]. Your pong partner respects your wishes but you both keep talking for the rest of the night. He even gets you some water, and you slowly with time start to feel a [[bit better]] from drinking a little too much.
You somehow are able to find the line for the bathroom, and completely ignore the handful of people that are waiting. They don't seem to question you though, because you're having trouble standing and you don't look so good. You run inside and vomit everywhere, missing the toilet. You vaguely hear people screaming outside in [[disgust]], and some people laughing as well. <<audio collegeparty stop>>
Suddenly, it's the next morning. You wake up in your own bed, still in your clothes from the night [[before]].You're head is pounding and you have no idea how you got home. You search around and luckily there is a water bottle right next to your bed. You hear your roommate starting to [[wake up]] as well. She sighs, and then lets you know that she and a friend down the hall had to call an uber and get you home last night since you were kicked out of the party. Then you proceeded to throw up in the uber as well, so your party was charged extra for the ride.
She rolls her eyes, and turns to fall back [[asleep]]. You won't be going out again for a long time. An hour or two passes by, and your friends find you again and say that they're leaving. Before you go, your pong partner asks for your [[number]]. <<audio collegeparty stop>>
It's the next day. You wake up with a slight headache, but nothing that some advil and a gatorade couldn't fix. You feel really good about the fun and responsible night that you had, given that it was the [[first time]] you drank.
There's already a bunch of texts from your new friends on your floor saying how much fun they had. And to your surprise, you already have a text message from the nice guy you met [[the night before]].

After a few hours of dancing and having fun with your friends, you all decide to head home, but you feel awesome because you had a responsible yet fun night. You also feel confident that you'll continue to make smart decisions when going to parties in the future, [[and...]]<<audio collegeparty stop>>

[[*Sirens wailing*]]After going to the bathroom, you quickly finish your cup of jungle juice and continue to dance with your friends in the basement of the house.
Your friends, who said they had much more experience drinking in high school than you did, decide that they want more alcohol. Do you:
A) [[Drink another cup of jungle juice]]
B) [[Decide that you've had enough and you don't want to push it on your first night out]]<<audio ambulance stop>>

Your eyes open and you find yourself in a hospital bed. Confused and scared, you look around to find your roommate half asleep in a chair to your right. You barely get out her name, but she wakes up as soon as she realizes that you have moved. She takes a huge sigh of relief and comes closer to the [[bed]].Your roommate tells you that you were drugged last night. You completely blacked out, and your roommate and a friend on your floor found you passed out, alone in the [[corner of the basement]].
After awhile, you and your friends decide to leave the party, but by this point you are very very drunk.
As soon as you get back to your dorm, you rush to [[the bathroom]]. <<audio collegeparty stop>>

You proceed to vomit profusely, and none of your friends are around to [[help you out]].

You call an uber just to be safe, and you head back to your dorm room. You're sad that you're missing out on a night with potential new friends, but maybe frat parties just aren't your [[scene]].
An hour passes, and you realize your roommate in incredibly drunk. You ask her how many drinks she has had, but she just laughs and stumbles away. Do you:
A) [[Try and stop her from drinking more]]
B) [[Ignore it]]At the end of the hallway, you find an open door and a bunch of floormmates you have yet to meet. They're all laughing, talking, and they have a movie playing in the background.
You knock and [[introduce yourself]]!You toss and turn a bit throughout the night, wishing that you had met more people or done something [[different]] with the night.
After meeting the rest of the girls in the room, they invite you in and you end up sticking around for a few hours getting to know the [[people in the room]].
You go over to your roommate and try and take the alcohol out of her hand. She hesitates at first, but then after some convincing she lets go and takes a cup of water from you instead.
An hour or so passes, and your friend seems a bit better but she is still pretty [[drunk]].After awhile, your roommate and this boy stumble up to you. Your roommate mumbles that she is going to go home with this boy, and she'll see you tomorrow. She's still incredibly intoxicated. Do you:
A) [[Try and convince her to come back to the dorms and see the guy another time]]
B) [[Ignore it and let her go]]A guy comes over and starts flirting with your roommate. You don't want to be a third wheel, so you go and find your floormates who are dancing in the middle of the room. You dance with them, but every few minutes you look back at your roommate just to make sure that she is [[okay]]. After awhile, your roommate and this boy stumble up to you. Your roommate announces that she is going to go home with this boy, and she'll see you tomorrow. She's still clearly drunk, so do you:
A) [[Try and convince her to come back to the dorms and see the guy another time]]
B) [[Ignore it and let her go]]<<audio collegeparty stop>>
After some convincing, your friend decides that she's too drunk and leaves with you instead of the guy from the party. She is really annoyed with you, and barely speaks the entire walk [[home]].<<audio collegeparty stop>>
It's the next day, and suddenly your dorm room opens and your roommate walks in, still in her clothes from the night before. She looks like she's been [[crying]]. The next day, you wake up to your roommate already watching Netflix in her bed. After a few minutes of silence, your roommate [[turns to you]].
You turn and ask, "hey, [[are you okay]]?"
You go over and sit on her bed. After awhile of talking, your roommate decides to go and find your RA to [[tell her what happened]].
You're left alone in your room with so many thoughts racing. Even though it's not completely your fault, you wish so badly that you helped your roommate last night when you had the chance. Tomorrow is the activities fair anyways, so maybe you can find some clubs that will help you socially more than college parties will.
You go to bed, hopeful that tomorrow will be a better day.If only you hadn't put down your cup of jungle juice... ...you don't need to be wasted to have a good time. If only you didn't have that second cup of jungle juice......you don't need to be wasted to have a good time. You feel great so far about college, and you can't wait to see your new friends (and maybe even the guy???)later that day. "Hey, thanks for taking me home last night. I know I was mad but I was way too drunk to go home with that guy, so thanks I [[appreciate it]]."
You smile and say [[no problem]].
After some more small talk, you both get dressed and head to the dining hall for breakfast.
Even though it wasn't an easy decision to make, you're happy with what you did last night, and you're glad your friend is safe. She sits down on her bed and she's silent for a few minutes. Then she lets you know that she was entirely too drunk last night, much drunker than you actually [[thought she was]].
She tells you that she woke up in that guy's bed with half of her clothes on, and she hardly even [[remembers what happened]]. You're left alone in your room with so many thoughts racing. Even though it's not really your fault, you wish so badly that you helped your roommate last night when you had the chance. In your restless state, you decide that you're going to try and branch out tomorrow and meet some new people.
Tomorrow will be a better day! By the end of the night, you're really satisfied with your choice to stay in. College parties may not be your scene, but you luckily have found a group of people that can have fun without drinking and partying as well. <<cacheaudio "ambulance" "music/ambulance.mp3">>
